Many people come to the island for complete rest and relaxation. However, the vast choice of things to do in Gran Canaria is huge and varied to delight every type of holidaymaker, whatever your age or style.
Boat Tours – Completely spoilt for choice!

Holidaying on an island, you are definitely spoilt for choice when it comes to boat tours. There are daily ferries from Mogán, Puerto Rico, Anfi del Mar and Arguineguín which is an perfect way to get from one holiday resort to another whilst taking in the coastline views. You can also enjoy dolphin trips, luxury catamarans, speed boat adventures or private exclusive yachts. There are definitely plenty to choose from, for all budgets.
Water Sports
There are also tons of water sport experiences for you to pick from. Jet skis are available in most resorts or what about Wind Surfing? We have some great schools in Playa del Ingles and Las Palmas for you to learn as a beginner or surf as a pro. Did you ever try a Flyboard? For the adrenaline junkie in you and ultimate buzz, this can be found at the beautiful beach of Anfi del Mar.

Diving & Snorkelling
Diving and snorkelling is also hugely popular in Gran Canaria. There are plenty of options from very beginners’ classes up to the more experienced of divers. The island has an excellent choice of dive spots, suitable for all ages with qualified PADI instructors.
Fishing Trips
Gran Canaria is also an excellent place to take a big game fishing trip. Whether you are experienced or not this will be a really memorable experience. Your captain will take you to the very best fishing locations around the island plus it will include a typical Canarian lunch. Some of the trips even include the sunset.

Now you can’t come to Gran Canaria without going on a Camel Safari.
Take a short but exciting ride through the infamous Maspalomas sand dunes or alternatively, there is a wonderful tour in the heart of the island in the beautiful village of Fataga. Take an enjoyable camel ride through the valley plus try typical Canarian food in the onsite restaurant. A wonderful location surrounded by palm trees and a variety of fruit trees.
Prefer to go on wheels?
Every year Gran Canaria becomes more and more popular for cyclists. The excellent weather, especially in the winter and choice of demanding hills make it a very favourable choice. If you don’t have your own bike there are some excellent rental shops.
In recent years it has also become popular to rent E Scooters or Segway’s. There are also tours to join and what a different way to enjoy the sunsetting than riding along the promenade in Maspalomas.

A day out at the water park located just outside Maspalomas is a must visit, especially in the summer months you will have the best day whatever age enjoying the thrill of the slides. There is also a lazy river and huge wave pool for some great fun and an enjoyable day.
If animals are your thing then a trip to Palmitos Park is a must. A botanical zoo themed park with shows throughout the day, an aquarium, butterfly and orchid house, birds of prey, exotic animals, and an amazing dolphin show.
Another excellent place to visit is the Holiday World in Maspalomas for a fun filled evening at the fair with over 30 rides. There is a Casino, bowling alley, karaoke and escape rooms, Plus the fantastic NOMAD Gastro Market with over 400 culinary delights to choose from.
If you are travelling with children then these are probably the most popular however there are many more exciting and adventurous places for you to entertain the younger ones. Happy kids, Happy parents, right! We think you will agree that there really is something for everyone.
