Discover the island on Wheels!
The fastest way to discover the different treasures of Gran Canaria is of course on wheels. There are so many options, and so many places to see, that we recommend at least one guided tour per holiday stay. If you can afford it, we recommend a private Gran Canaria Tour with our friend Sergio. Or if you fancy driving a buggy as part of a tour, go on a buggy tour. Or maybe an airconditioned mini bus tour or even a bus tour is your thing!

Gran Canaria – A Miniature Continent
Gran Canaria is called a miniature continent, and that is what the island really is! The island has the always warm sea and white sand beaches, the Maspalomas Dunes, different mountains and caves, the forests and lakes, the old sleepy towns, the different nature parks, the museums, the rum factory, coffee plantations and much, much more.
Jeep Safari Gran Canaria
There is absolutely no better way to see some of the spectacular views of the island than in an open topped Jeep Safari Gran Canaria, cruising around both on and off road. This excursion is so much fun and probably the best way to see the unique scenery the island has to offer. You will really get to see why Gran Canaria is often referred to as the continent in miniature. The jeeps will stop off at various points of interest along the way for some fantastic photo opportunities and excellent knowledge from your multi-lingual local guides about the island and its history.
This Jeep Safari Gran Canaria is suitable for people of all ages and by far one of the most popular ways to explore the island. Don’t forget to make sure you book your day out well in advance as to not miss out on the fun.

Buggy Safari Tours
Another exciting way to explore the diversity of Gran Canaria is on an action packed, self driving Quad Buggy Tour. As long as you have brought your licence, are over 18 then you are good to go. The buggies are for a maximum of 2 people and children are also allowed on this tour if they are over the age of 3 years old. The guided Buggy Tour takes you along the magnificent coast of Mogan and then up into the beautiful valley of Ayaguares, through bamboo canes, palm trees and Indian tunos then on to the off-road tracks. It is dusty and dirty but a thrilling way to discover some of the real Gran Canaria. The price includes water, insurance and safety goggles. The 3 hour tour takes place both in a morning or afternoon.

What about seeing the island in style in a VW Cabrio?
Want to travel in style with the top down of the car and the wind in your hair? Then why not join the exclusive one of its kind 5 hour VW Cabrio Gran Canaria Tour starting in Maspalomas. This particular tour is a wonderful way to venture out as a group on the steep and windy roads making it unforgettable and great fun. The views are impressive and spectacular as you travel in elegance through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the interior of the island. Drive through the luscious valleys and the ravine of a 1000 palms, plus a stop off at the Aloe Vera plantation, then enjoy a typical “pic-nic Canario” all included in the price.

Travel in comfort on a 9 seater VIP tour
Maybe you just want to see the island in the ultimate comfort. Sit back and relax and let someone else take the lead in the comfortabe air-conditioned mini vans which take you to some of the most delightful places in Gran Canaria. Unlike travelling on a coach, these smaller more personal Minibuses are the perfect way to enjoy all that the mountains of the island has to offer, often reaching places a larger vehicle could not.

Excursion essentials – what to take
With all of these outdoor trips it is essential that you wear good shoes especially if you are the driver of a vehicle. You will probably want to wear a headscarf or a hat to protect you from the sun. Remember it can also be rather dusty if you are on the jeep safari or the buggies and comfortable clothes are a must. Don’t forget your sun cream and something to also cover up with should it be cool up in the mountains, especially in the winter months.
Some of the excursions will supply you with water and possibly have a stop off for a Canarian meal or ‘Pic Nic’. We do however recommend that you take some water or refreshment of your own.
Most excursions can organise pickups at your hotel so check for more details.
