There are also some really excellent surf schools based in Playa del Ingles with courses available from kids’ classes, very beginners, kids’ classes and at all levels right up to the very experienced. Gran Canaria is also host to world class competitions and has some of the best talent on the planet The surf schools know the best places to take you, depending on your ability and the weather and wave conditions on the day.

When it comes to waters sports there is definitely something for everyone and for every budget. If you want a quick blast of fun then a ride on one of the infamous holiday water sports of a banana boat or ‘crazy sofa’ is a must!
